		<description>Thanks to your admittedly old post, I was able to manually include Chinese characters into the Tex document I'm preparing using ^^XX hexadecimal codes.

I will eventually switch to XeTeX, but since I don't have time to experiment too much at the moment, this is one of the best solutions I can find. I still need to find a font which can display the strokes I need, but this goes some way to solving my problems.
