Aspire 1610 internal modem under Linux

Notebook "Aspire 1610" has an internal modem which identified by lspci as "Intel Corp. 82801EB/ER (ICH5/ICH5R) AC'97 Modem Controller (rev 02)". It took much time to make it working under Linux.

My receipt is following.

modprobe snd-intel8x0m
modprobe slamr
slmodemd --country=GERMANY --alsa

The magic is the first insmod and the parameter --alsa. If you know a simplier way, please describe it in comments.
