Workation FOMO, Locally
Let’s add a human touch to my technical changelog.
Workation (a mix of work and vacation) is trending. I understand the appeal: take a laptop, go somewhere nice, maybe to an ocean coast and sandy beach, make nice photos, and call it both work and rest.
Having some FOMO, I tried the local version.
Practical question for people who do workations on the beach: how do you fight the sun? I can barely see the laptop screen outdoors on a sunny day, even at maximum brightness.
Local photos
Separate from the workation experiment, the local version had one useful side effect: I looked around more carefully.
Not exotic, but good enough to notice that nearby places are also worth photographing.
Eventually I should add the river Rur, its small waterfalls, the northern Eifel border hills, and a panoramic view from them, with the river included.
